Soweto on Foot offers immersive half-day walking tours that provide an authentic experience of Soweto's rich history and vibrant culture. These tours typically last around 3 to 4 hours and include a traditional lunch, allowing participants to engage deeply with the community and its heritage.
In 2022, Lebo Mokoena founded "Soweto on Foot," a local tour operator company (nominated for the Soweto tourism awards year 2024 and 2025). Drawing from his extensive experience working with other tour operators, he established this venture to offer immersive walking tours that provide authentic insights into Soweto's vibrant neighborhoods.

I really appreciate the whole Tour. Lebo is kind and intelligent and taught me a lot about Soweto and its historical importance for humanity. It's definitely worth giving a try to this tour (on foot). You're going to have a pretty good experience by an affordable price!

This was a great tour! It was very interesting and by walking you get to see the real Soweto. Lebo is super friendly and knows pretty much everyone in Soweto. It’s a very well rounded tour as you get to see all lifestyles and historical points in Soweto. Riding on the bus was fun too. Thanks Lebo!
